How it works

Twelve questions. One minute. A next step.

Navey turns how you feel into a number clinicians already trust, then tells you what that number means and what to do about it.

Measured

The check-in

Every day, twelve questions about the last 24 hours. How strong the nausea was. How many times you vomited or retched. What you kept down. How you are coping. Each answer scores 0 to 5. The total, 0 to 60, is your HELP Score.

Built on the HELP Score

The HELP Score is a clinically validated tool created by the HER Foundation and used with permission. The questions are theirs, word for word, so your number means the same thing to any clinician who knows the scale.

One question per screen

Big answers, no typing, under a minute. Built for a phone held in bed.

A trend, not a snapshot

The second day you get a line. The seventh day you get a pattern. That line is what you show your clinician.

The ranges

What your number means

Lower is better. The ranges come from the HELP Score's validation work, and each one has a different next step.

Mild0 to 19Moderate20 to 32Severe33 to 60
Mild

0 to 19

Small frequent meals, fluids through the day, ginger and vitamin B6. Check in again tomorrow. A rising number is the signal to call.

Moderate

20 to 32

The range where prescription anti-nausea medication usually helps. Tell your care team the score and the vomiting count. If fluids stop staying down for 24 hours, call today.

Severe

33 to 60

Call your care team today and say the number. IV fluids and scheduled medication are standard care at this level. If you feel faint or cannot keep any fluid down, go to urgent care or the emergency department now.

For clinicians

A score your patient can bring you

Navey gives patients the HELP Score in the same form you would use in clinic, with a 14-day trend and the medication list. A clinician view with shared access is on the roadmap. If you want to be part of that pilot, write to [email protected].

Questions

Asked often

Is Navey a medical device?

No. The check-in is a wellness tool that turns your answers into the HELP Score. Diagnosis and treatment of nausea and vomiting of pregnancy come from licensed clinicians through Navey's telehealth partner.

Who made the HELP Score?

The HER Foundation. It is a clinically validated tool and Navey uses it with permission. Navey has no other relationship with the Foundation.

What is hyperemesis gravidarum?

The severe end of nausea and vomiting of pregnancy: persistent vomiting, weight loss, dehydration, and difficulty keeping anything down. It touches 1 to 3 percent of pregnancies and is a leading cause of hospital admission in early pregnancy. It is treatable, and earlier treatment works better.
